WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item Level upgrade, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that are used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with a The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item upgrader mod and the current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. The use of these currencies isn't too complicated however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one use, so it's important to use them wisely. For instance, it's best to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
