WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade item boosts the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which displays an item's preview when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current item upgrading level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations on the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and a disadvantage.

The discount applies to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain achievement milestones.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are used for specific Item level Upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.
