WoW Upgrades - The item upgrading Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will display an image of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item level upgrade (inquiry) and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item upgrades has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players finish certain achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.

Crests

Players have a number of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.

Using these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best gear you have available and save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which will only be able to avail the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with top-quality gear.
