The word utopia, in reality, conjures images of a paradise. While not all utopias are infused with religious overtones, they often include motifs from paradise. They are also designed to attain certain qualities and characteristics of paradise in real life.

The word paradise has many different meanings, but they all describe a state or condition of extreme beauty and pleasure. It could also be a place that is ideal for a particular activity or pastime. For instance golfers' paradise or a hummingbird's paradise. In a religious sense, it can refer to heaven, which is the place where the righteous go after they die.

Different languages have used the word paradise, however it was originally derived from the ancient Iranian language of Avestan. The word"pairidaeza" comes from the roots pairi "around" and daeza "wall". It was later translated into Greek as paradise and was later used in Hebrew and other Aramaic Scriptures.

In the Bible, the Garden of Eden is paradise. It was a beautiful place where the first couple lived, unaffected of illness and death. When they rebelled against God, however they lost their paradise. In later Bible prophecies, heaven is portrayed as a place in the future of the eschatological, where the happy people of the world will live for eternity. The word paradise can also be a reference to a state of emotional or spiritual happiness and happiness.

A place to play

Totopia is a new addition to the Children's Museum of Sonoma County, opening this week inside their west Santa Rosa campus. It's a room that's part of their well-known Science and Imagination gallery, intended for toddlers and infants up to 35".
