Three Wheeled Buggies

MFM reviewer Kath tried the buggy with a newborn as well as a 3 wheel stroller travel system year old and found it was able to handle cobbles, grass, rough roads, dirt tracks, and kerbs. She said that it felt sturdy to push, and very stable on difficult terrain. The tyres, that are inflated and require to be pumped up regularly, have built-in suspension. This was very comfortable for my kids.

Another thing to take into consideration is the size of the seat and shape. It should be big enough for your child's comfort. You will also need it to recline to allow them to lie flat. Some three-wheel buggies will have a full lie-flat option while others will only allow a parent facing one.

A majority of 3 wheel twin stroller wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres that allow them to navigate a wide range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They also tend to be lighter. However, they are prone to punctures and you'll need to keep an repair kit, spare tube and pump in your bag.

These buggies, as per MFM's Kath, have larger wheels which according to her "perform well on grass, gravel roads and market town cobbles", and can easily climb or descend kerbs. They also come with a suspension system that, in her words "smoothes out bumps very effectively".

The downside of having bigger wheels is that they can make some buggies quite wide and make it difficult to get through narrow spaces. This can be an issue when you're using it for an exercise bike or to to get through narrow doorways when out and about. Luckily, most models have small folding options that allow you to remove the front wheels for more compact storage.

Easy to manoeuvre

One of the primary benefits of a three-wheel buggy is that it is much easier to maneuver, especially with a child in the back. They are designed to ensure that the front wheels be turned on a dime and are easy to move, making them ideal for terrains that are difficult, such as cobblestones, parks as well as bumpy roads and dirt tracks.

The only drawback to this amazing mobility is that the 3 wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean that it will struggle in tight spaces - something to consider if you live in a city area. If this is an issue then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better choice for you.
